Character Development Homework


Before applying for a second, or any subsequent, characters, two points of homework must be completed and approved by the staff. You may choose any of the following that appeal to you.

2 Point Assignments need more detail then 1 Point. Complete sentences unless otherwise stated.

At least 2 FULL paragraphs for a 2 point assignment.




One Point Assignments

:: Pocketses? ::
List the average contents of your characters purse / pockets / bookbag (etc.)


:: Boggart Conundrum ::
What is their Boggart, and why?


:: In My Spare Time… ::
Does your character have a hobby or secret passion? And what makes it interesting to them? (Soccer.. yoga... collecting muggle stamps...?)


:: Ensnare the Senses ::
What is your characters favorite taste, touch, smell, and sound? And explain why.


:: Yum ::
What is your character's favorite meal? Why? What is their attitude towards food?


:: Doctor a Day ::
What illnesses has your character suffered? How did they affect them? How do they behave when they are under the weather?


:: Sleeping in Style ::
What is your character's dream bedroom, and why? In words only.


:: Personal Fashionista ::
What is your character's personal sense of style? Favorite patterns, materials, pieces in their wardrobe?


:: The Good, Bad and Ugly ::
List ten random quirks and facts about your character.


:: If Music Be... ::
What kind of music do they love / hate? Favorite songs? And why.


:: Great Judges of Character ::
Does your character like animals? What about children? Any particular ones? And why.

What is your character's sleeping patterns like? What position do they sleep in? Do they wake up often?

Two Point Assignments

:: To Sleep, Perchance to Dream ::
What does your character dream, and why? Write a scene of an average dream, in as much detail as you can.


:: Rules I Live By. ::
Religion, Code of Ethics. What beliefs and ideals does your character hold dear, and why?


:: The Morning After ::
What are your character's feelings about sex and intimacy? How does this affect their interactions with other people?


:: The Patronus Charm ::
What form would their Patronus take? What memory (in detail) do they use to summon it, and why?


:: We All Make Mistakes ::
Detail the greatest mistake (in your character's opinion) that they have ever made. Why did they do it? How do they feel about it now?


:: One Flat Tire ::
Your character gets a flat tire, on a back road, in the rain. How did they get there, and how do they deal with it? Write in scene format.


:: In My Own Words ::
Write a journal entry as your character.


:: Time Ticks By ::
Your character is stuck in a room for an hour- how are they acting? What are they thinking? What kind of room is it?


:: Photograph Moments ::
What was the best or worst moment of your character's life? Write in scene format.


:: Those Old Butterflies ::
Your character's first love. Who was it? What were they like? How old were you? And any other details you can think of.

:: The Mirror of Erised ::
What is your character's deepest, most desperate desire? How does it reflect in the mirror? And why is this so dear to them?
